Brian Knight is a native of Lumberton, North Carolina who received his undergraduate degrees in Chemistry/Biomedicine as well as graduate studies in Biomedicine from UNC. Mr. Knight worked with fortune 500 companies as a Research and Developmental Chemist / Scientist and helped develop new therapies for those suffering from common as well as unique diseases. Mr. Knight became a licensed ordained minister in 2007 as well as a counselor. He became aware of the many faceted mental problems facing our community and co-founded with his wife, Asher in January 07, 2007 as a place to help those in the Robeson County and surronding counties. Asher opened its doors to the public on July 30, 2007 as a place for those who are hurting, oppressed and mis-guided by false information. Asher is a non for profit (501c3) faith based mental health and behavioral counseling agency that specializes in changing lives one heart at a time.

Mark N. Mead earned his master's degree in nutrition from the UNC School of Public Health and Medicine. He currently serves as an integrative health coach, nutrition educator, and research consultant at the Raleigh-based Carolina Center for Integrative Medicine. As the Integrative Pediatrics Program Director, Mark works closely with the Center's medical director, John Pittman, MD, to help design individualized nutrition programs aimed at optimizing each child’s health and healing process. An author of over 35 peer-reviewed scientific articles, Mark currently serves as editor for a peer-reviewed medical journal and has written a number of health-related books, including most recently the RAPID RECOVERY HANDBOOK, published by HarperCollins in 2006.
